By taking your photographic career to the next level you can put real power behind your career and take yourself to the next level.
At the Centre for Creative Practices we feel passionately about the sustainability of the arts sector, particularly for photographers, photographic professionals and photographic organisations. We look at the increased benefits to society of a vibrant sustainable arts sector as well as the economic benefits.
With CFCP’s SWITCH programme we will show you how to identify who you are, the Self who defines your Way forward. By getting your audience involved, by telling them your story and asking them to come on the journey with you, then you can create a movement that makes success happen.
CFCP’s SWITCH system gives you the support and skills that allows photographers, photographic professionals and photographic organisations to build strong careers in the sector. We look at the why what and how photographers, photographic professionals and photographic organisations do what they do. Turning peoples’ passions into their profession.

Why is Artistic Entrepreneurship so important?

  • Artists learn how to produce great work but they are not taught how to make their living.
  • Artists take low paying jobs to subsidise their art practice.
  • The average artist income in 2008 was 35% LESS than the average industrial worker, in 2001 the average artists income was 20% MORE
  • Artists’ main complaint is an inability to gain sufficient income from their work as artists.

45 minute free sessions – please book in advance at www.cfcp.ie/photoireland. Then come and talk to us. We are offering a number of free 45 minute mentoring sessions as part of the PhotoIreland festival on 22nd July. These sessions are for you if you have ever found yourself:

  • Forming a clear mission for your organisation?
  • Need help with your funding applications?
  • Want some input into your photographic business?
  • Need to put together a budget?
